Sabía que algo estaba haciendo mal...
I knew I was doing something wrong.
(there's a home-made translation to my non-Spanish speaker readers)
Be sweet and interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to do your best to make it happen. One of your duties is to take his mind off his worries. |
Get the children ready. Brush their hair, wash their hands and change their clothes if necessary. They are his little treasures and he would like to see them looking neat and tidy. |
Try to look happy. Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him. Your happiness is the reward for his daily effort. |
Don't complain! Don't flood him with insignificant problems. Any of your problems is just a little detail compared to everything he must have gone through. |
A good wife always knows her place. |
Parece un chiste pero no lo es. Es la "Guía de la Buena Esposa" de 1955. ¿España franquista quizás? Imperdible.
It looks like a joke but I assure it is not. It's the "Guide for the Good Wife" that appeared in 1955. Maybe Franco's Spain?
Not to be missed.
